Great Indian food, with the highest quality. Since the management has changed, this restaurant has gotten much better in terms of food quality and variation. I really found the curry high quality
We ordered food, it was there super quickly and absolutely delicious :)
I like to eat here very much and very often. The new owners have a great menu and the dishes are authentic and definitely recommendable! :)
Super Service, First class food, I'll be back and can only give one absolute recommendation.
The selection on the menu is extensive and exclusive, I would say. As an Indian, I've only found the options of some dishes here. e.g. Paneer Chilli, Papdi Chaat, Jaipuri Bhindi (starter) and Paneer Pasanda, Rajasthani Laal Maas, Chicken Kofta (main dishes). I highly recommend it!!
Wanted to test the restaurant and have ordered food to be picked up. At the planned time the food wasn't ready, so I was allowed to wait 15 minutes, after all the bread was freshly made. The food itself was okay, but nothing special in terms of taste. Also, none of the staff standing at the counter wore a mask, which I would not like to understand. In short: what a shame!
The food here is amazing and fairly priced. I'm extremely humbled by the fact that when they knew i wasn't feeling well, they included a bag of green tea with my order, of course this is nothing of a monetary value but it shows their care and dedication to serve their customers. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to try amazing indian food suitable for european palate. Kudos to the team and hope you continue to serve your customers in the future as well.
As an Indian, I can only recommend the Bombay House. All dishes are delicious and authentic! 5 stars + more. I'm looking forward to the next visit!
I can only recommend the food here. If you want to eat authentic dishes and value great service on top of that, then you've come to the right place. It's just great that you can set the level of sharpness as you like. So there is something for everyone! You can taste that all dishes are homemade with high-quality ingredients. As a passionate foodie, I can only recommend the Bombay House to you.
Very authentic food! Have never had such authentic Indian food in Germany !! The Kadhai Chicken and the Dal Makhani are highly recommended, 11 out of 10! The perfect mix of traditional food and modern ambience can be found right here at Bombay Haus, the place is also in the heart of the city of Erlangen. I only ate the starter like the chilli paneer at this wonderful restaurant! The waitress and the other employees are very nice! The cook is always available verbally and takes criticism very seriously! You can choose the level of sharpness, that also works with the restaurants!
Nice staff delicious food and at reasonable prices, unfortunately too sharp for me personally
Little expandable portion sizes, A bit much 'hot' for our Central European taste buds, but very tasty in itself, everything looked absolutely fresh, and what the other local guides have mostly mentioned, we can also confirm: very friendly staff !
Easily my most favourite restaurant in Erlangen. Same taste as back home. I just love ALL their dishes. Can’t wait to go back again this weekend❤️ thank you so much for giving us authentic Indian food in Germany. Highly recommended and extreme high standards in food taste and quality. Keep it up.
The starter Papdi Chat here is a dream. In general, the food quality is exceptional and every curry taste is very different. Definitely try the following curries: Chicken Vindaloo, Rogan Josh and definitely don't miss the Papdi Chat :)
If you are looking for authentic Indian flavours this is the place you got to be at and you'll keep coming back for more. Don't forget to order their amazing orange ice cream for the dessert. You can thank me later! With the best possible service and sumptuous food, Bombay Haus was my best dining experience at an indian restaurant. Best wishes to the lovely owners!
The restaurant has been recently take over by a young and vibrant couple. The new enthusiasm has a lot to offer to their customers in terms of food, behavior and the ambience. Must visit this place for a nice authentic Indian flavor of food and hospitality. For sure you will have a nice experience prompting you to visit this place again in the future. :) :)
This place has recently been overtaken by a young couple. The food has changed for good. The food is really tasty. Karahi chicken with garlic naan is the best.
The best Indian Restaurant!! So authentic, delicious and the service is the best. Friendly and always have great recommendations. We go there several times a month and each time is fantastic. A must in Erlangen.
Super delicious food
Always delicious!
Great food! Good quality and reasonable portions with a variety
Really nice and cozy Indian Restaurant with great food!
Great food! If you want a quieter and more familiar atmosphere, then the Bombay House is a must. We recommend.
Food was not good. Did not get served full dish as per menu but had to pay full amount.
Very good Dal Makhni! Delicious mango lassy
true & good Indian restaurant. Nice persons, Nice place, Nice tasty food... Nice everything to summarize it. ... And if you ask,... and if you dare ... they can cook you super spicy and flavour full food ♨️?️? ... Be be aware it's wonderful but hot! A trek difficult to forgot...Like a road trip in India!
Awesome home cooked food
Great, but please bring enough time. When it is full, it can take a long time. But the quality of the food makes up for it.
Food was really delicious and above all plentiful. However, it can not be that you have to wait for 2 hours to eat! Apparently they only worked for two, a cook and a waitress. Just taking the order took over half an hour. Appetizer came over an hour after ordering and the main course came back almost an hour later. It was not very busy ... next to us were about 10 more guests there. To pick up possibly useful but to eat there it has obviously taken us too long, were a bit entertained after eating over 3.5 hours here!
Very good Indian restaurant with a good variety of vegetarian dishes and meat dishes. The portions are generous and you can set the degree of severity for each dish individually. The hosts are very friendly. You can eat outside in the shop or in the courtyard.
Very good Indian food. The service is totally friendly and warm. A star deduction because of the strong smell in the restaurant. It smells like incense sticks. Not everyone likes that. Otherwise Top.
Average taste and normal price same as chai roti, Bollywood, Sangam . Nothing much special here .
Well! Pretty much close to giving a poor review but the staff is nice so here goes my two cents and the two stars. Very little space inside the restaurant. Very dimmly lit. WOuld have loved a bit more light and see the colors the food that I ordered. ;) Taste wise it is below average. There are a lot of Indian restaurants here in Erlangen, therefore the level needs to be up and cannot take the level that they have now.
Had Chapati and Bhendi Masala its good
We loved the food here. The service is great as well. However, we were not too happy with the time they took to serve our food which was close to an hour. This might be a deal breaker for some. But the service quality made up for the slow service. We tried onion bhaji, samosas for starters, channa masala, chicken jalfrezi and some rotis. They were all absolutely delicious and the bill was around€46-50. I would recommend this place.
The best Indian restaurant in Erlangen (PERIOD). I can vouch only for the vegetarian food, and the taste is closest to what we find in India.
Very delicious. Small but nice. Family run. Good and very friendly service.
Decent food. They do not accept card payment for small tenders.
Lovely host and paneer gravy with nan ?
very good tasting food and a nice cozy restaurant!
Nice home type food. Friendly Staff.
It’s a very small family owned indian restaurant in the northern part of Erlangen. Some would say it is cozy and has a old-school style. I would say they are in need of desperate refurbishing. Kind of old and smelly. Your clothes keep the indian food smell for days. Food is bland. Nothing fancy. Boring and lot’s of fried stuff. Go somewhere else if you want more experience and better food. Meh.
Not worth for the price... Taste is OK.
Small Indian Restaurant with excellent service and delicious Indian food.
Not good food and it's over priced.
Very good food and excellent service.
Waited more than 90 minutes for the food on a Tuesday evening. Customers were ignored until the food was served. The food itself was average and overpriced. When asking for some goodies in exchange for the long waiting time the response was that this is "normal".
